Airport Master Planner


Hill International, Inc. (NYSE:HIL), the global leader in managing construction risk, is looking to expand its team in Bahrain.
 
We are presently seeking to fill the below mentioned role in Bahrain.
 
 
Reporting: To Project Director
 
  • Airport Master Planner
Key responsibilities of the Master Planner are summarized below:
  • Review Client’s data, vision, feasibility, local standards and codes, local authority approval requirements and phasing programs.
  • Review and check Consultant’s stage deliverables to ensure compliance with Client’s design brief, quality, completeness and coordination of related planning and engineering data, analysis and documents.
  • Prepares and attends critical technical discussions with the project consultants and the Employer for the purpose of creating consensus on ways to expedite the planning process and enhance the final master plan.
  • Discusses, when deemed necessary, with sub-consultants directly hired by the Employer their scope of services and suggests ways to enhance their contribution to the project and better coordinate their inputs with the consultant.
  • Assists in preparation of RFPs when required for sub-consultants whose inputs are needed for the consultant to produce the final master plan and its accompanying documents and reports.
  • Attends regular meetings with the consultant and Client representatives to monitor the development of the consultancy services and provide technical assistance and advice to BAC in directing the planned deliverables.
  • Assists Client in the technical evaluation of the evolving project plan and its associated deliverables.

The Airport Master Planner tasks include:
  • Review and follow up of the development of the Master Plan and how it integrates the strategic objectives of the business.
  • Review and analysis of the reliability of the forecasts produced by the Consultant
  • Understanding both terminal and airside capacity management
  • Review and critique of solutions provided addressing airport security
  • Overview and follow up of the topographical surveys
  • Review and follow up of the validation activities for the master plan
  • Study ways to design and implement reliable ground access, airside facilities
  • Review and analyze the master planning framework to include landside operations, land parcel distributions, and airside support facilities and operations.
  • Review and follow up of the concept master plan design and design report
  
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have a minimum of 15 years experience
  • Experience in managing major mixed use developments and Airports is a must
  • Four year University/College degree is a must preferably in Architecture
  • Good command of the English language (Oral and written)
