Architectural Inspector – Oman Airport

Hill International has just been award the Oman Airport project as the Consulting Engineer. This is a $3.8 billion Airport project consisting of a number of packages, all of which are now at construction stage.

Reporting:                    Reports to Design Manager

Location:                      Muscat or Salaha, depending on role.

Duties:                         The duties of the Architectural Inspector shall include but not be limited to the following tasks:


Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake overview supervision duties on site to ensure general compliance of the works with shop drawings, specification and contract requirements and when necessary cause to address deficiencies associate with the same.
  2.  Coordinate all aspects of submittals, review and approvals against contract requirements and when applicable report and advise on deviations from the same.
  3. Report on a daily basis to the Senior Site Architect / IA on all activities occurred on site..
  4. Assist the Senior Architect / IA in all aspects of the final Acceptance of the work and close-out all applicable contracts related to the same.
  5. Coordinate with the team on site to ensure that contractual obligations are met.
  6. Gives clear, concise and understandable instructions to
  7. Contractors to avoid abortive works and errors. Follows up with Staff to ensure compliance with requirements.
  8. Prepare Snag Lists and follow up remedial works until works found satisfactory.

Experience Required:

- Diploma in Architecture
- Minimum 6-10 years’ experience in various types of Projects doing inspections
- Knowledge of using AutoCAD software.
- Previous experience working on an airport project preferred.
Education
  • Certificate/Diploma in Architecture
