Assistant Drillers - Cyber - Ultra-Deepwater

The Assistant Driller reports to the Driller.

Key responsibilities:
  • Be familiar with the entire mud system, including safe operation and maintenance
  • Safe operation and maintenance of the pipe racking system
  • Safely handle and operate all drilling related tools and equipment
  • Filling in of the daily drilling report and keeping records for drilling line

Desired Skills & Experience

Required Experience:
  • The assistant driller should have a minimum of 2 years experience from drilling operations, as well as completed training as a Driller
  • Candidates will also have knowledge of well control procedures, the ability to run and test the BOP and operate the diverter system
  • Experience with NOV Drilling Equipment is an advantage
  • Experience on a dual activity rig is also an advantage
Qualifications
  • Valid Well Control Certificate, Sub Sea Driller level.
  • Valid Offshore Survival Course, OPITO or equivalent
  • Valid Offshore Health/Medical Certificate
  • As a global organisation and to ensure a safe working environment, it is essential that all applicants have a strong level of English, both written and oral
