BBC at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2013 is a pan-BBC project that brings together three weeks of BBC coverage and activity into a distinctive purpose-built Fringe venue. This dedicated site will be the home of the BBC at the Festival – visitors will be able to enjoy a huge range of live and recorded shows, as well as interactive experiences and masterclasses, with the best moments broadcast to audiences at home via TV, radio and internet. This is the third year of the project and we’re returning to the same site with more shows and plans to make the event even better. There are details of the 2012 project here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p00vyngt

We're looking for an innovative AP to help develop and deliver a programme of on-site activity as part of an outstanding multi-platform and pan-BBC event. The AP will work closely with the Producer as part of a small team focussing on event content and editorial. They will use their creative ideas, research and contacts to help curate a rich and varied programme of event content - programming, booking and managing content like live music, comedy, cabaret, children's activity and/or spoken word. The AP will be expected to build relationships with teams across the BBC, as well as with external contacts. A good knowledge of BBC output and an understanding of the varied audiences that the BBC's radio networks reach is essential.
Requirements
In addition to generating ideas the AP will be expected to manage the delivery of the content - including managing a budget - so excellent organisation and planning skills are essential. The AP will be juggling multiple priorities and will need experience of delivering to tight deadlines. Experience of working on events is desirable. The AP will also be required to update the event online pages and help maintain a lively social media presence. Self-shooting and editing and/or excellent photography skills are an advantage. The AP will be committed to the project and will be expected to work flexibly in response to the demands of a project of this nature - including a requirement to work evenings and weekends.
