We’re recruiting for a Distribution Manager to join our team, based in London.
Delivering to our audiences relies not only on inspiring creative output, but also on the enabling technology and commercial partnerships that make our television, radio and interactive services available on different platforms to licence fee payers across the UK. We manage 5% of the licence fee and are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about TV and radio to fill this key position in our team.
You’ll play an important role, working across operations and contract and project management on some of the most significant contracts that the BBC holds. You’ll work across these areas to implement the BBC's distribution strategy and business objectives, working closely with Project Sponsors and in partnership with internal and external contacts and stakeholders. You’ll be responsible for areas of work in the department which will involve working in diverse project teams, managing implementation and significant commercial contracts, giving reports and delivering results.
You’ll play a key role, working to Project Sponsors and in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the BBC's distribution strategy. So you may be an experienced project manager working with or leading multi-disciplinary teams on complex technical systems with some experience of dealing with suppliers. Or you may be an experienced commercial manager working with lawyers on contract negotiation and management, with a confidence in dealing with technical and broadcast issues. Regardless, you’ll be passionate about the BBC’s programmes and services, and will definitely have previous broadcast experience. Underpinning this will be your strong communication skills, a track record of establishing effective working relationships with stakeholders and suppliers, and a desire to work in a challenging and fast-moving media environment, for the benefit of our audience.
