Role

We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager Distribution for Western Europe to be responsible for the sale and distribution of our channel portfolio, or channel blocks from our portfolio, to cable/DTH satellite operators, broadband operators, broadcasters and any other third parties who wish to secure access to the channel or blocks of the channel in Western Europe.

You’ll be operationally responsible for securing affiliate deals for our branded services with all cable, satellite, iptv and other partners with a focus on Western Europe. You’ll manage relationships with our existing and new affiliate partners in Western Europe and take responsibility for securing distribution of BBC World News within the region.

As Regional Sales Manager Distribution, Western Europe you’ll manage existing and future distribution businesses by supporting relevant partners throughout the sales process, drive channel growth in new territories by maximising revenue from sales of branded services, work with external sales agents to manage their work for BBC Worldwide, identify and affiliate agreements with the most commercial advantageous deal terms for the Company and implement appropriate Branded services distribution strategies across a variety of platforms.

Requirements

You will have significant Distribution Sales experience within the European Television industry and markets, in particular Western Europe and experience of maximising client relationships and business partnerships.

You’ll have a strong understanding of the broadcast technology and broadcast distribution industry, how it works and bring ideas for success within a highly competitive and mature market.

You’ll have excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence key internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Due to the region of the role, you will be fluent in English and in at least one other European language is advantageous with preference for Western European Languages.
