We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and service-orientated professional for the position of Junior Data Analyst in the Genetic Resources Program.

The position will be based at CIMMYT’s Main Campus (located 45 km northeast of Mexico City, Mexico) but will interact with all CIMMYT´s experimental stations and regional office (country and world-wide) on a regular basis.

Specific responsibilities of these positions will include:

  • Assist BSU staff in all data formatting, curation and analyses for the CCAF project.
  • Assist BSU staff in all aspects of SeeD project including phenotypic and genotypic data.
  • Assist BSU staff in genomic in specific analyses related to genomic and genotype x environment
  • interaction.
  • Assist BSU staff in specific analyses on SAS for standard service done by the BSU to all CIMMYT
  • programs.
  • Perform any other tasks and assignments related to the program/project, as required by the supervisor.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualification, skills and attitudes:

  • Master Degree in Statistics, Biometrics or Mathematics.
  • Working experience in experimental design, linear models and Bayesian analysis.
  • Good statistical computing skills in any of the following software, SAS, ASReml or R.
  • Experience in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative team environment.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills in English.
