Role

9/10 month attachment/fixed term contract:
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and working closely with four Regional Marketing Managers, the post holder is responsible for supporting the B2C and B2B marketing activities for BBC World Service globally. The key objective of the role is to support the BBC World Service Marketing team in:

1) B2C marketing activities that maintain/increase audiences to our TV, Radio, and digital editorial content globally
2) B2B marketing activities that increase WS distribution through BBC content syndication partnerships

You will provide a high level of support to the team helping them achieve the marketing objectives and deliver the marketing strategy and plans.

Requirements

Ideally you’ll have experience in assisting on major projects, and with this you’ll be an organised individual who can prioritise your workload and meet tight deadlines. You’ll have the ability to develop and learn new skills across both the marketing and communications disciplines and will demonstrate a genuine passion for broadcasting as well as for international news & current affairs. With excellent IT skills, you’ll be a top notch communicator with strong presentation skills. With knowledge and awareness of the BBC’s international outputs, you’ll also demonstrate an enthusiasm for new media, digital and emerging technologies. Experience or an understanding of both B2C and B2B marketing is not essential but would benefit you in this role. However your experience of working within a commercial business and working closely with sales and/or business development teams will ensure you hit the ground running.
