With more than $14 billion in assets, and as the primary liquidity manager, payments processor and trade association for member credit unions in B.C. and Ontario, Central 1 provides financial products, investment services, payment processing solutions and direct banking services, as well as leadership and advocacy, on behalf of the credit unions it represents. Central 1 is a technology leader that provides banking and payments solutions to 300 plus financial institutions across Canada.
Your panoramic business vision and your ability to serve multiple stakeholder groups will contribute to the success of Central 1, member credit unions and the growth and evolution of the credit union system. In concert with your Board of Directors and executive management team, you will create and implement a strategic plan focused on value to members, credit union growth, close relationships with regulators and technology innovation. You will embed an organizational focus on risk governance to enhance Central 1’s responsibility to safeguard the financial stability of the B.C. and Ontario systems. Externally, you’ll expand Central 1’s trade services and advocacy role with your members and work with regulators to advance the system. Internally, you’ll grow and lead your team and foster the development of the products and services that support continuous innovation.
As a leader committed to the growth and success of credit unions across Canada, you are likely in financial services, another regulated sector or a large co- operative organization. You’re accustomed to working with multiple stakeholders, have exposure to boards and have a proven track record of business building. Most important, you lead by inspiring those around you to embrace common goals and pursue them with zeal.
