Director, Head of Latin America Membership Team

We are now searching for a:
 
DIRECTOR, HEAD OF LATIN AMERICA MEMBERSHIP TEAM
 
The team mission is to engage the Foundation Members, Regional Partners and Global Growth Companies of the World Economic Forum in communities of like-minded peers to improve the state of the world.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Business development
• To act as the primary person managing and developing trusted relationships between the Forum and key business contacts, including chief executive officers and senior corporate executives, to understand their interests and engage them actively in the World Economic Forum’s programme for the region.
• To actively reach out within Latin America to develop long-term, trusted partnerships with the foremost businesses in the region, with a focus on Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Peru and Chile. Ideally, you will have an established network of senior contacts in the region.
 
Thought leadership
• To actively monitor and identify cutting-edge, emerging companies and entrepreneurs in those countries to ensure that they are incorporated at an early stage in the Forum’s activities and projects.
• To continuously consult subject experts to identify cutting-edge business issues and to translate these and other priorities into a sustainable value proposition for partnership and community building with the top Latin American businesses.
 
Programme/project management
• To deliver a programme of activity throughout the year for our Members and Partners in Latin America to shape the regional agenda.
• To champion the interests and activities of Latin American business within the Forum’s broader range of activities and other communities, including governments, social entrepreneurs, and media and faculty leaders.
 
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Advanced university degree and 10 years or more of relevant professional experience in business in Latin America
• Consulting and/or client-facing function, with proven strength in business development
• Demonstrated ability to work with industry leaders at the C-suite level, as well as with discipline experts in academia and other non-governmental organizations
• High-level analytical and organizational skills
• Clear track record of success in leading teams, as well as strong management skills
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English; native Spanish speaker; knowledge of Portuguese is a plus
• Strong strategic and financial acumen and communication
• Energetic, self-directed, customer-oriented and collaborative/positive team player
