Description:
Exciting and dedicated team searching for strong Information and Communication Technologies for Education (ICT) specialist to assist the Aguirre Division of JBS International in supporting USAID education and workforce development activities. The successful incumbent will be a professional with experience in knowledge management, delivering educational services and materials using information and communication technologies in low resource and developing country contexts. Duties will include managing day-to-day ICT for Education (ICT4E) activities, working closely with the client to ensure technical excellence in ICT4E activities. Other tasks will be assigned as new projects arise.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
•Work with project director to manage ICT4E efforts;
•Support USAID in expanding the Mobiles for Education Alliance (http://www.meducationalliance.org/);
•Oversee and inspire ICT4E-related knowledge exchange efforts;
•Conduct research or manage research efforts on various ICT4E issues to produce short info briefs or longer analytical reports;
•Act as a change agent to facilitate the sharing of innovative ideas, best practices and knowledge for the Mobiles for Education Alliance;
•Supervise the implementation of the content strategy of the Mobiles for Education Alliance website;
•Supervise the use of digital media to create awareness for the Mobiles for Education Alliance;
•Participate in the design/ development and implementation of content for domestic and international forums, workshops, and conferences;
•Manage research efforts to compile a compendium of USAID ICT4E activities;
•Extract trends and lessons learned from USAID ICT4E activities;
•Extract trends and lessons learned from literature available regarding other donors’ and implementers’ ICT4E initiatives; •Identify and recruit prospective consultants, develop and write scopes of work, and contribute to logistics planning for fielding international teams; and
•Contribute as an integral team member to the preparation, editing, and production of reports and other deliverables, to include graphics, tables, analytical text, annotated bibliographies, and to assist in analysis and report production, in written form, in Power Point, or in other various forms, as required by clients.
Minimum Requirements:
Language: English Fluency
Education: Master’s degree required, preferably in Education, Computer Science, International Development, Social Sciences or a similar field.
Knowledge: Strong project management background; Must be highly adept at multi-tasking. Key qualifications include initiative, organizational skills, ability to work well in a team, and excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Experience: Seven years’ experience in research and development areas
Software Proficiency: Microsoft office suite.
License/Credential: NA

PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Foreign language preferred Overseas experience preferred Knowledge of digital media applications
