Description:
JBS International, Inc. is looking for part-time (at least 30 hours/week) and full-time interviewers for field survey data collection for the California Migrant Education Re-interviews, including all components of interviewing from scheduling to completion (e.g. participant recruitment and record keeping, scheduling and phone reminders to participants.) Specifically, the interviewer will need to travel individually to interview Parents or Legal Guardians (P/LG) of Migrant Students to verify their eligibility for participation in the Migrant Education Program (MEP). The interviewing process consists of four parts. 1) Attend required, paid training at JBS offices in Burlingame, CA (near San Francisco International Airport); 2) Contacting and Scheduling P/LG of selected students by phone or in person as necessary for interviews; 3) Conducting interviews; and 4) Documenting and submitting completed interviews and contact logs. This project is temporary through September 30, 2013.
Minimum Requirements:
Language: Spanish/English fluency (spoken and read) required.
Education: HS diploma required.
Experience: Must have knowledge of Migrant populations and communities and interviewing experience. (Face-to-face interviewing a plus.)
Skills: Must possess excellent oral communication skills in Spanish.
Software Proficiency: Access to email/internet a must.
License: Must possess a valid driver’s license and access to an insured car or reliable transportation. (Mileage will be reimbursed at $0.565/mile and/or reasonable public transportation will be reimbursed)
