Rural Merchandising Manager-Middle East

As Rural Merchandising Manager you will be expected to win, maintain and manage large feed contract with our strategic partner to achieve a profit. As head of the Input Shop Unit you will be expected to establish and manage an agricultural merchandise retail chain of stores 
  • Negotiate with partner to win supply contract for pellet feed.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to get best possible quality at best possible price in order to maximize profit margin.
  • Liaise closely with partner’s staff to ensure smooth delivery of product to 23 sites
  • Negotiate supply contracts with local suppliers to supply feed products to 6 sales sites
  • Manage staff at these shops to ensure smooth operation and customer service.
  • Investigate new animal feeding techniques and technology that could be introduced in the market for the benefit of the farmers and that fits the Govt objectives.
  • Work with the Livestock Units to facilitate change within the livestock sector
  • Establish Agricultural Input shops and pocket shops that can provide the best market prices for the farmers and provide efficient service.
  • Manage staff to control the input shop operations
  • Roll out Pocket Shop program that will see 39 ‘satellite sales sites’ located at our extension offices
  • Manage the relationship between extension staff and input shop staff to ensure best possible service delivery to the farmers
  • Manage POS within the shops and ERP within animal feed sites and pocket shops
  • Merchandising of all items suitable for the Input shops
  • Find new products that can be introduced to the market (after required approvals) to improve agricultural production and efficiency with a positive environmental impact.
  • Work with the Technical Services division to synergize the products offered in the input shops and the products being encouraged.
  • Manage budgets and KPIs to achieve financial and strategic goals.
 Selection Criteria
  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in related Field
  • Minimum 6 years experience in Agricultural Inputs Sales
  • Input Shop Management experience
