Community Manager, Facebook Entity Graph

Facebook seeks a community manager to build and foster a worldwide community of passionate users who want to help everyone connect to the places and things that matter to them (the Entity Graph). This is a full-time position based in Menlo Park.

Responsibilities

  • Be a channel of communication: listen closely to the community of power editors on Facebook who are already updating and filling out the details of our Entity Graph – the places and things that people on Facebook connect to.
  • Develop scalable ways to source high quality content from users about the places they visit and the things they connect to.
  • Write updates for the Entity Graph Power Editor blog and maintain brand and editorial standards across written materials.
  • Promote product launches.
  • Be an ambassador for local and domain specific communities.
  • Identify and communicate product issues to the product and engineering team.
  • Summarize and report regularly on key metrics – community activity and participation rates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (BS) degree from an accredited 4-year college or university or equivalent experience.
  • Deep understanding of and passion for Facebook and the current Places Editor community and product (https://www.facebook.com/places/editor)
  • You should enjoy meeting new people, have a lot of initiative, good tact, and natural evangelism.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Diligent, independent worker with strong project management and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated track record working with global, cross-functional teams.
  • Deep experience crafting messaging and branding for a large international audience.
