Investment Analyst - Fixed Income

About the Job: 
Symbiotics SA is looking for an Investment Analyst - Fixed Income. S/he will be responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships with portfolio companies in South America and Central America. The position will be based in Mexico City.

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

• Conduct on-site due diligences of microfinance institutions in South America and Central America;
• Write credit risk appraisals, investment advisory reports and social performance evaluations;
• Monitor global situation, opportunities and risks in financial markets of the above mentioned region;
• Develop a pipeline of credit worthy investment targets in specific markets;
• Maintain and monitor 15 portfolio companies, including monthly financial reporting;
• Support the development of new business opportunities in the region.

Qualifications: 

• Dedicated to social and sustainable development;
• Previous experience in financial analysis or investment management;
• Knowledge of the microfinance industry and impact investment a strong asset;
• Previous experience in Latin America a strong asset;
• Capacity to handle multiple tasks on a daily basis;
• Fluent English and Spanish. Knowledge of French and/or Portuguese would be an asset;
• Willingness and readiness to travel (up to 30%).
