Knowledge Management Officer

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The purpose of this position is to establish and ensure that WVL as a whole has functioning Information management systems that would consist of skills, knowledge, tools and processes to capture, process, disseminate and archive data at all levels of the organization.
The Information Management Officer captures all World Vision program information, works in coordination with the Program Development and Quality Assurance unit and all other operational and support units to map the information flows, the reporting requirements and the existing information archives. As well, s/he would liaise internally and externally (UN OCHA and INGO stakeholders) to exchange vital programmatic information.
The Information Officer holds a key role within WV Lebanon to collate and provide standards and processes, tools, information and analysis to support the decision making by the Senior Management Team.
Major Tasks:
· Develops, establishes, maintains and continuously improves information management processes that support the achievement of overarching goals of WV Lebanon.
· Oversees portfolios of projects and captures all programmatic information related to WVL including data from various assessments and evaluations with the collaboration of the wider PDQA and operational teams.
· Coordinates with relevant departments on standardizing both internal and external reporting.
· Oversees compilation of periodic reports, including but not limited to sit-rep, quarterly programming reports, CWB reports, etc
· Assists different departments, sectors and the response in developing fact sheets for the purpose of partnership wide and external communication.
· Leads the establishment of a operational information center for the Syria response.
· Ensures all operational and programmatic events are placed on the corporate calendar.
· Ensures that relevant programmatic information is reflected on Geographical Information Systems and is regularly updated.
· Leads the process of updating the Landscape assessment on a periodic basis.
· Ensure previous learning's are made available for programmes, operation and LT staff members to support critical decision making.
· Manages the Newdea project management system and train key staff on the same.
· Integrates technology and innovative approaches for efficient information sharing and management. i.e : evernote, dropbox, sales force etc.
· Represents WV at the Information Management working groups and other relevant clusters,
EDUCATION / SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor degree
· MBA or related master degree preferred
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
· Previous experience in portfolio management highly desirable (managing organizational data of different sectors)
· Good understanding on project management.
· Experience working with applications such as Newdea, sales force, evernote, lotus notes databases, google earth / GIS application
· Ability to consolidate information into visual presentations (factsheets, charts, graphs, tables)
· Fluent with Microsoft application such as Excel, Publisher,
· Strong written and verbal skills
· Strong Presentation skills
EMPLOYMENT TYPE:
Full Time – Local Contract (12 Months)
