Project Associates- Gender Practice
Summary of Job:
The part-time Senior Associate will coordinate & be responsible for backstopping ongoing project activities for the Gender Practice. This is a part-time position with potential to become full-time in June. Responsibilities include:
- Financial Management: Review project expense reports and invoices. Maintain project records and documents. Develop and maintain project budgets and LOE monitors. Run regular budget analyses to inform management decisions.
- Contract Management: Serve as IQC Subcontractor liaison; review subcontractor budgets against deliverables and contract requirements. Format, brand and review reports and other deliverables.
- Personnel Management: support recruitment and mobilization of consultants and employees for field assignments. Review timesheets, expense reports and travel vouchers. Provide home office support to field based staff.
- Reporting: Updating project and corporate factsheets
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelors in international development or related field with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience. Master’s degree preferred.
- Prior project management experience required
- Experience working on USAID proposals and projects highly desired
- Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and Word
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Demonstrated competence to assess priorities, manage a variety of activities effectively to meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality
- Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Good problem solving skills
- Team oriented individual
- Fluency in Spanish required
