Markets, Food Security & Livelihoods Coordinator - Response & Resilience Team (RRT)

Salary: GBP 29,754 - GBP 41,611 per annum, net. Net = take home pay. Oxfam GB will meet the tax and social security liabilities of post-holder in addition to net salary.
Hours: Full time.
Contract Type: Open-ended (permanent), unaccompanied.
Oxfam GB is recruiting an RRT Markets, Food Security and Livelihoods (FS&L) Coordinator to help strategically scale up and improve the quality of our work in humanitarian emergencies.
The RRT FS&L Coordinator will be at the cutting-edge of humanitarian practice with the design and implementation of cash transfer and market based approaches that support, rather than undermine, local livelihoods and markets. The post-holder will be part of a dynamic team at the forefront of developments that are changing the way the humanitarian system is responding to crises.
The RRT FS&L Coordinator will work in a variety of contexts and programmes around the world to reduce the risk of conflict and disasters, manage first phase responses and promote early recovery of livelihoods. The post-holder will design and deliver timely and appropriate assistance directly to those affected by crises in order to save their lives and protect and restore their livelihoods. The post-holder will also influence other actors to prevent, and respond appropriately to, food crises.
The RRT FS&L Coordinator will have a substantial amount of experience in managing food security and livelihoods programmes in different emergency contexts and countries.
An ability to influence others and communicate ideas strategically and effectively is essential for this role.

This post is based in your home base location with travel to deployments in countries. Deployments are generally 3 - 6 months, sometimes longer. Overall, you are expected to be on deployment for up to 10 months of the year. During this time there may also be some travel to Oxford for induction/briefings/training between deployments etc. Part-time working requests from successful candidates; for example, working 9 months out of 12 a year, may be considered depending on the requirements of the team.
