PROJECT MANAGER, FINANCING ENERGY
The World Energy Council (WEC), a London-based international non-profit energy policy organisation active in 93 countries, seeks an experienced project manager to manage a new project on financing resilient energy infrastructure. Duties include working with the WEC Secretary General, the Director of Policies and with Project Partners to develop and launch the project; establishing a member-based Knowledge Network from WEC’s global network; assisting with development of the project timeline, scope and deliverables; preparing and attending meetings and workshops; facilitating/assisting with production of deliverables including reports and high-level sessions; and ensuring linkage with other WEC activities.
Candidates must have a minimum of 18-24 months of prior project management experience; a proven track record in managing projects to deadline and within budget; strong coordination and organisational skills; excellent written and oral communication; and the ability to exercise tact and diplomacy while working within an international environment. Fluency in English is required. A background in energy and/or finance, a higher university degree and a second language are desirable.
The position will report to the Director of Policies. Some international travel may be required. This is a permanent, fulltime position. Starting salary is £45,000.
