Cefic
the European Chemical Industry Council, is both the forum and voice of the European chemical industry. It aims to maintain and develop a prosperous chemical industry in Europe by promoting the best possible economic, social and environmental conditions to bring benefits to society. 

Cefic is located in Auderghem and employs more than 160 people. 

To replace one of its colleagues on maternity leave, Cefic is actively looking for an (M/F) Assistant Fine, Specialty and Consumer Chemicals, temporary position from September 2014 till December 2014.

Responsibilities

  • Keeping various databases up to date to ensure a good communication towards our members;
  • Keeping the extranets up to date and distributing documents to members;
  • Organizing meetings and follow-up, sending invitations and registration forms to members, organizing travels and booking of social events;
  • Dossiers preparation for the meetings;
  • Archiving of documents and minutes according to Cefic internal procedures;
  • Ensuring essential office supplies, checking mails by priority for managers, monitoring mails, letters, phone calls in case of absence.

Background and experience

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Office Management;
  • Previous working experience within a member association is an important asset;
  • Preferably Brussels-based and working experience with European institutions.

Skills & competencies

  • Very good knowledge of MS-Office tools is a must;
  • Excellent level of English, written and spoken. Knowledge of other languages is an asset;
  • Being accurate and passion for conscientious work;
  • Being proactive and ability for multitasking;
  • Flexible person with excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Team-player and ability to work independently.
