Security Intelligence Analyst

Mitie is recruting for a Security Intelligence Analyst for Citigroup's EMEA Regional Command Centre.
Description
The EMEA RCC Analysts will be responsible for live monitoring of political and violent risks throughout the region and escalating incidents to the relevant security manager. They will also be responsible for coordination with the Global Command Centre (GCC) and other regional RCCs. In addition, they will write SITREP reports for dissemination to senior management; weekly incident briefs and unrest forecasts; maintain all crisis contacts; plot all incidents using mapping software; archive incident analysis; and monitor employee travel to Medium, High and Extreme Risk countries.
Key responsibilities
  • Perform day-to-day monitoring of the EMEA region for specific political or violent risks which could potentially impact Citi’s     operations.
  • Provide situational awareness of issues occurring throughout the region and at a high level globally, through internet observation, news media reporting and establish intergroup communication with other CSIS support elements.
  • Provide timely and accurate intelligence support for CSIS EMEA Security Managers and Investigators, across multiple locations and jurisdictions in which Citi has a business presence/operation.
  • Support the critical role of incident reach back support by providing time-sensitive intelligence reporting to decision makers in order to ensure that the Regional CSIS staff can mitigate immediate risk and incidents.
  • Develop intelligence products that include a coherent and usable assembly of facts, inferences, charts, and findings which highlight regional security incidents to include: criminal actions, transport related accidents, major civil unrest, political unrest, terrorism, natural disasters and incidents that require multi-sector emergency response.
  • Develop the RCC analytical support function in order to provide first echelon investigations support across the EMEA Region.
  • Knowledge and understanding of regional risk environments along with the ability to effectively provide analytical support to area security teams.
  • Evaluate, report and escalate incidents/threats which create a risk to the company, its employees, shareholders, assets and clients.
  • Maintain the regional guidelines and databases to include; all regional facilities; call trees for senior business leaders and regional CSIS personnel; directory of support organisations (e.g. security vendors) which would be utilised during a crisis; and update country profiles.
  • Work in conjunction with the other RCC officers to ensure consistency of protocol responses and dissemination of critical decision making information.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years in a political analysis, threat intelligence or crisis management role
  • Proven ability to locate, synthesise, and interpret large amounts of textual and technical data such as Intelligence Information Reports, finished intelligence (FINTEL), filtered real-time data feeds, message traffic, directed-searches results, and task-specific, specialised data sources.
  • Master’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Language skills are an advantage.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, notably the ability to articulate incident information succinctly; attention to detail is vital.
  • Strong knowledge of security incident trends.
  • Regional knowledge of ongoing political and violent risk trends.
  • Must be flexible and be able to work traditional and non-traditional work hours as so determined by an event or circumstances.
  • Demonstrated experience and prior exposure in crisis response management and operational support to incidents and events.
  • Excellent communication and personal skills needed for working with peers, management and business customers.
  • Possesses creativity, with a strong ability to write in a concise manner.
  • Exceptional discretion of highly sensitive and confidential documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and SharePoint sites – Google Earth, ArcGIS and ESRI knowledge is an advantage.
