Fund Raising Project Coordinator for Biobanking Initiatives EORTC

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position involves participation in the leadership of a fund raising initiative to support the establishment of an advanced biobank for cancer clinical research. The goal is to develop targeted therapeutic approaches for personalized medicine, benefiting from the mapping of the human genome. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference for cancer patients.

PROFILE:

• Enthusiastic and committed individual keen to support fund raising events.
• Ability to work in an international team with researchers and business people.
• Previous experience in fund raising / communication (5 years) preferably in the medical / scientific field.
• Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of overall fund raising strategy.
• Expertise in communication to professionals as well as lay persons.
• Understanding of project planning and management.
• Ability to organize fundraising events.
• Capacity to develop communication materials.
• Good written and spoken English as well as at least one other main European language.
• Availability to travel in Europe.

The position offers the possibility to work and exchange with a large range of key opinion leaders for cancer treatment in Europe and at the EORTC Headquarters in Brussels.
