Tunisia Finance and Administration Manager

Background Danish Refugee Council (DRC) has operated in Tunisia since March 2011. Since then, DRC has engaged mainly in the sector of Protection targeting both Third Country Nationals (TCN) and refugees fleeing Libya by crossing the border into Tunisia. Furthermore, from the Tunisia office(s) DRC has worked in establishing preparedness for a response to the humanitarian needs within Libya.

In the frame of its programme in Tunisia and Libya, DRC is looking for a Finance and Administration Manager (FAM) recruited within the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Duties and Responsibilities • Supervise all administrative and financial matters related to the DRC mission in Tunisia (national labour law , registration of the Organization in the Country, local contracts, matters related to bank and insurance) • Provide technical support to project & support staff in financial and administration procedures. • Prepare and deliver administrative and financial reports in a timely manner • Assist project staff in preparing timely monthly cash forecast and in budget monitoring. • Ensure compliance to DRC Operation handbook as provided by DRC head office and donor requirements • Supervise DRC accounting system – NAVISION • Assist project management staff in the recruitment process • Assist project manager(s) in preparing and submitting project(s) budget

Qualifications • Previous experience in financial/administrative management for an international non-governmental organisation • Working knowledge of NAVISION financial software and/or similar programs • Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic, French is an asset. • A proven knowledge of Work and Excel. Generally computer literature • Familiarity with the legal principles of international financial transactions • Strong interpersonal skills

Terms & Conditions: Commencement: as soon as possible Duty station: Zarzis, Tunisia Contract: 3 months with possibility of extension. Salary and other conditions in accordance with the Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for Locally Recruited Expatriates (available on request).
