Chief Surveyor
Booysendal Mine is situated in the heart of the Steelpoort Valley  within the Limpopo Province, in close proximity to some of South  Africa’s best-known wildlife parks. The Mine is part of Northam Platinum  Ltd, which has been a consistent Platinum Group Metals (PGM) producer  for more than 20 years and has been at the forefront of a number of  technological innovations in the industry. The following challenging  vacancies currently exist for motivated and suitably qualified persons:
Chief Surveyor
Key performance areas:• Engage in projects and  initiatives to optimise performance • Effectively manage the survey  planning process • Effectively manage survey resources • Effectively  monitor survey activities • Monitor and improve area operations • Ensure  that relevant standards are adhered to • Manage administration and  reviews.
Minimum requirements: • A  Government Certificate of Competency in Mine Surveying • Registration  with Plato and the Institute of Mine Surveyors of SA (IMSSA) • A minimum  of 5 years within the mining environment, coupled with 2 years in  people management or supervision • Very strong computer skills in  Microstation, MRM-related software and valuation software.
