Duties: The successful candidate is expected to (i) teach undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses within the Department of Social Work; (ii) have demonstrable capacity to teach social work methods, particularly a combination of any two of the following areas: clinical, community practice, social policy and research; (iii) undertake research either individually or with other members of staff in the Department; (iv) perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department. Requirements: The candidate must have: (i) a Bachelor of Social Work degree with at least a second class second division, 2(ii) pass and an overall aggregate not less than 65% (ii) a Masters degree in Social Work or related fields; (ii) capacity to teach at least 2 of the listed areas/courses under ‘duties’; (iii) show evidence of engagement in research and service; (iv) a PhD will be an added advantage, so will academic leadership, experience in either teaching, administration, employment, or consultancy work. The CV should inter alia, provide a detailed list of courses (if any) ever taught and the levels at which they were taught, as well as research and publications where applicable.
