Position: LECTURESHIP IN SOCIAL WORK (1POST)
Remuneration: A competitive salary package will be offered.
Description:

Applications are invited for a full-time lectureship in Social Work. The School seeks to appoint a dynamic person who will be able to contribute to a department that is committed to achieving excellence in social work education and research.

Responsibilities: Lecturing at under- and postgraduate levels, research supervision, field instruction supervision and co-ordination, meaningful contribution to research, and participation in the administration of the department.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Master’s degree in Occupational Social Work, experience in the practice of Social Work and progress towards the completion of a doctoral qualification. Applicants who are eligible for registration as a PhD candidate may also be considered. In addition, the applicant should be registered as a social worker (or eligible for registration) with the South African Council for Social Service Professions. The successful applicant will be required to assume duties as soon as possible.
