Duties: The successful candidates will be required to teach courses on the degree programmes in Design and Technology and Industrial Design, e.g., Product Analysis, Computer-Aided Design, Internet for Designers, Multimedia for Designers, Universal Design and Eco-Design/Environmental Factors, as well as supervise students projects, teaching practice and industrial training and any other duties assigned by the Head of Department. Senior Lecturers will also be required to offer specialist teaching at postgraduate level. Requirements: Lecturer: Candidates should (i) have a Bachelors Degree in Design, Design and Technology, Industrial Design, Multimedia or Graphic Design or equivalent, plus a relevant Masters degree in Design, Product Modelling or equivalent. (ii) demonstrate and show evidence of engagement in Research and Service. A portfolio and industrial experience would be an added advantage. Senior Lecturer: Candidates should have (i) a Bachelors degree in Design, Design and Technology, Industrial Design, Multimedia or Graphic Design or equivalent, plus a relevant Masters degree in Design, Industrial Design or equivalent; (ii) at least 3 years teaching experience as a lecturer or high rank at University level, (iii) minimum of six (6) pieces of published research products; at least 4 of which are refereed journal articles; lead or single author in at least 2 (iv) demonstrate evidence of engagement in research and/or teaching experience in Design field or discipline (v) evidence of service to the university, the profession and the community Remuneration: The University offers a competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications How To Apply: Letters of applications are to address the stated qualifications and provide any other information to assist the University to determine your suitability for the position.
