Communications and Campaigns Officer

Location: Bamako, Mali

Position Purpose
In the framework of implementing its 2010 – 2015 strategic plan, WaterAid in Mali concentrates on communication, documentation and dissemination of good practices so as to enhance WaterAid and the sector’s profile for more interest.

The overall objective will consist in enhancing the sector profile in order to support fundraising and the promotion of low cost WASH technologies.

The Communication and Campaign Officer develops, coordinates and implements communication and campaign strategies.

S/he encourages information sharing among WaterAid countries and through the West Africa Region.

Key responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Head of Capacity Building and Learning, the position holder is responsible for developing the organisation communication and campaign strategy, for promoting the cross-cutting role of water, improved hygiene and sanitation in the national durable human development agenda in order to reinforce our leadership in the sector.

S/he is responsible for disseminating information and key messages of the organisation internally and externally and for ensuring the promotion and compliance with WaterAid's identity, values and principles as a global organization.
