We are looking to recruit two Junior Lead Economists for a major producer, locations; London and Delhi. The role will be part of the Economics Team which is part of the Chief of Staff's Office.

The Economics Team provides insightful analysis of global energy markets to inform decision-makers. The purpose of this role is to contribute to the Team’s overall delivery by leading the analysis of natural gas markets.

The team comprises three main functions: macroeconomics, energy markets and oil refining.

Key accountabilities

• Leading the team’s analysis of the global gas market, and acting as the key point of contact on gas market issues
• Co-ordinating gas market inputs to energy market outlooks
• Developing and delivering the gas market research agenda
• Delivering external presentations on gas market topics
• Applying judgement and specialist knowledge to address complex economic issues and to provide professional advice to senior management
• Integrating the gas market analysis with the work of the Team on other energy markets, and contributing to the analysis of issues that run across energy markets
• Liaising with market analysis teams and with upstream to ensure that gas market insights are captured efficiently and communicated effectively
• Maintaining and enhancing the global gas balance, co-ordinating efforts with the relevant other teams

Essential Education
Post graduate degree in economics.
