Internal Communications Executive (Intern)

At a time of change and transition, we are looking for an intern to help transform and align Save the Children International with our new strategic direction and mission for children, in particular to support timely, efficient, effective internal communications. The focus of the internship will be around • Supporting the execution of the internal communications plan for SCI to communicate internally and with members • Supporting the communications plan and activities in for the transition overall, with a particular focus on International Programs.
• Supporting activities of the global member internal communications network

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE • Experience of internal communications and staff engagement within a global organisation at a time of change and utilising a range of new and traditional channels. • Experience in recording and editing videos, setting up webcasts as well as building and maintaining user-friendly and efficient intranets resources • Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) with a proven ability to distil complex information and materials into digestible and inspiring messages. • Self-motored with great organisational skills. Ability to manage a large workload in a pressured environment, working to short and long term objectives and tight deadlines. Attention to detail and ability to follow tasks and ideas through to completion. • A high degree of flexibility and adaptability in order to respond to changing needs. • Ability to influence and gain agreement for ideas and proposals from a range of stakeholders while valuing diversity.
