The NEPAD Planning and Coordinating Agency (NEPAD Agency) wishes to announce vacancies for various positions at its office in Midrand, Johannesburg, South Africa and its Regional Missions at various duty stations.

The NEPAD Agency kindly requests all applicants from African Union Member States to send their applications and detailed CVs in accordance with the format indicated.

Supervisor: Director: Partnerships, Resource Mobilisation and Communications

The NEPAD Planning and Coordinating Agency invites applicants who are citizens of African Union Member States for the post of Head of Communications.

Under the supervision of the Director: Partnerships, Resource Mobilisation and Communications of the NEPAD Planning and Coordinating Agency (NPCA) or his/her delegate, the Head of Communications will lead and facilitate the Communications Division to provide support to the organization to strengthen and enhance contacts and cooperation with African Union (AU) organs, Regional Economic Communities (RECs), bilateral and multilateral organizations, the private sector, and civil society organizations.

The NEPAD Planning and Coordinating Agency invites applicants who are citizens of African Union Member States for the post of Programme Coordinator, African Science, Technology and Innovation Indicators (ASTII) Programme.

Under the supervision of the Director, Programme Implementation and Coordination of the NEPAD Planning and Coordinating Agency (NPCA) or his/her delegate, the Programme Coordinator will be responsible for provision of effective operational management and implementation of the programme.

Job Title: Programme Officer – Fisheries

Duty Station: Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) Gaborone, Botswana

Supervisor: Senior Programme Manager (SADC) and Senior Fisheries Advisor, NPCA

NEPAD Planning and Coordinating Agency invites applicants who are citizens of Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) Member States for the post of Programme Officer.

Under the co-supervision of the Senior Programme Manager (SADC) and Senior Fisheries Advisor (NEPAD Agency) or their delegates, the Programme Officer will provide technical guidance on the implementation of SADC Protocol on Fisheries, and on the development of strategies, programmes and projects for sustainable utilization and management of Fisheries resources in the region, as reflected in the Protocol on Fisheries (RISDP) and the NEPAD Action Plan for the Development of African Fisheries and Aquaculture.
