The Professor of Design, Media Ethnography will be based in the School of Media and Communication. This position will play a leading role in developing our research strength across design, media ethnography and anthropology. The Professor will bring together theory and practice in visual and digital fields, contribute to our proposed Digital Ethnography Centre, and combine design principles with methodological rigor. The Professor of Design, Media Ethnography will build cross disciplinary research teams around the key design issues of the Design Research Institute, from the broad perspective of media and communication.

As one of five new Professorial appointments in Design, together with RMIT's current research leaders with a design focus, you will cement RMIT's position as a globally competitive design research and educational institution.
