You will work within the Informatics commercialisation team to coordinate and promote the commercialisation goals of SICSA (Scottish Informatics and Computer Science Alliance): a research pooling alliance incorporating the research activities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, St Andrews and several other Scottish computer science departments. The aim of the program is to bring the research excellence within the SICSA universities and local industry much closer together to help company product and service development.

You must be able to act on your own initiative and form very close working relationships with academic staff within the Universities. An outgoing personality, good verbal and written communication skills are required. A willingness to travel is required and an ability to work, on occasions, to very tight deadlines in a diverse and demanding environment is essential. You should hold a degree in an appropriate discipline and relevant research experience in any of the following areas would be an advantage: computer science, artificial intelligence, or cognitive science. Experience in University-industry liaison work is highly desired.

Fixed Term: Until 30 June 2014

Salary Scale: £36,862 - £44,016 pa
