We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support and promote the work of the Royal Society of Chemistry's (RSC) Education Department in Scotland.

You will be a highly organised individual who has excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and a track record in effective team working. Based at the University of Edinburgh, you must have a good understanding of the Higher Education systems across the UK and be able to engage with a range of stakeholders, including school teachers, academics, careers advisors, employers and government agencies. You should have a degree in Chemistry or equivalent.

This post is maternity cover for six months in the first instance with the possibility of being extended up to a maximum of one year. It is available from February 2012.

Fixed Term: 6 months (with possibility of extension up to a maximum of 1 year).

Salary Scale: £29,972 - £35,788 pa
