Switzerland ICT Officer (Infrastructure - HQ), P3

Under the supervision of Chief, Technical Support and Monitoring Section, the incumbent of the position will have the following:

Size and scope of role - The role is responsible for the effective operation and 2nd line support of infrastructure that is hosted at HQ, or can only be supported from HQ - The scope of the services are all communications, LAN, WAN, servers, messaging, fixed and mobile telephony, web collaboration and online presence for UNHCR - The role is also responsible for resolving incidents that affect the infrastructure that may cut across multiple technologies and/or managed service providers - Should contribute to change by actively delivering and encouraging support for new ways of working. - For additional information about the skills related to this role please refer to the Division of Information Systems & Telecommunications (DIST) Job Family and Skills document

Main relationships - Internally, liaises directly with own Service Delivery Team, 1st and 3rd level support on a daily basis. Liaises directly with end users to clarify, analyse and resolve reported issues. - Works with the staff in the Infrastructure support area of the ICT Services Centre in Amman to coordinate where incidents or problems span across infrastructure within HQ and that supported by ICT Service Centre in Amman - The incumbent participates actively in the development, support and maintenance of all aspects of security practices within area of responsibility, as well as keeping other sections and departments (within and outside DIST) informed of security initiatives that may affect the daily business
