Salary: £20,910 per annum

Requirements: We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Operational Support Officer to work with Head of Region and Regional Desk Coordinators to support the provision of management and programme support to country programmes and projects in Africa and Central America (Haiti). S/he will support the preparation, review and processing of proposals, reports, updates and budgets for humanitarian and development projects and undertake field monitoring and support visits. It is expected the successful candidate will in due course progress to assume wider responsibilities in the International Programmes Division or Field Offices.
The successful candidate will have relevant qualifications and experience in a related field as well as a good understanding of relevant development, humanitarian and policy issues. S/he will demonstrate high level of competence and experience in acquiring expertise in community development, disaster response and preparedness activities, monitoring and evaluation, project management, proposal development and reporting and working with national partner organisation, NGO’s or UN agencies. Excellent spoken and written language skills are essential.
