Assistant Programme Coordinator, Americas Department Transparency International
Transparency International (TI) is the global civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption. Through more than 90 chapters worldwide and an international secretariat in Berlin, Germany, TI raises awareness of the damaging effects of corruption and works with partners in government, business and civil society to develop and implement effective measures to tackle it.
The Americas Department at the Transparency International Secretariat (TI-S) is seeking a Assistant Programme Coordinator to assist in grants administration as well as project and event coordination.

Responsibilities:
- Execute project tasks related to donor contractual obligations (financial management, fund transfer requests, procurement regulations, financial reports, etc.) in a professional, transparent, cost-effective and timely manner, of department’s major multi-country donor-funded projects
- Coordinate and monitor the implementation of project specific work-plans, budgets, monitoring and reporting cycles and information systems by developing and maintaining effective, real-time project tracking tools
- Track and regularly report on project progress to the Regional Programmes Manager
- Coordinate and supervise sub-grants and contracts with Chapters and external service providers (including financial management/results reporting), ensuring time cost effective delivery of results and activities
- Provide all required support in the development of funding applications and negotiation of contracts
- Lead logistical supervision and coordination of annual regional and international meetings
- Supervise other tasks required by the line manager to ensure successful project implementation
Knowledge, experience and skills:
Required
- Experience in grants administration
- Fully bilingual in Spanish and English
- Experience in project coordination and administration
- Experience in budget management
- Excellent communications and organisational skills
- Strong computer skills in particular Excel
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team
Preferred
- Experience with donor funded projects in the civil society field
- A demonstrated interest in good governance and corruption related issues and advocacy
- Experience organizing events with diverse international partners
- Basic knowledge of Portuguese
TI Secretariat reserves the right to appoint to another staff level subject to education and qualifications.
