Circa salary £25,000 plus benefits
St George’s Park (SGP) will be The FA Group’s headquarters for the FA Football Development team and home of FA Learning, training home of the 24 England representative teams. Situated 4 miles away from Burton –upon-Trent, SGP is due for completion in late Summer 2012. The vision for SGP is:
- To become a training destination of choice for coaches, players, administrators and officials from all backgrounds and communities within football and beyond;
- To become the home of English football development, bringing to life and embodying the ‘whole-game’ coaching and playing philosophy outlined in The FA’s Technical Guide, The Future Game;
- To become a one-stop coaching and support environment which enhances personal development, leadership qualities, rehabilitation and fitness;
- To offer all its facilities and services beyond sport and facilitate cross-learning between the sporting and business sectors.
The purpose of the Editorial Assistant is to aid the development of the virtual St George’s Park concept by providing dedicated editorial assistance for all St Georges Park publications (online and print) assisting in the management of the organisation’s technical and coaching intellectual property. The Editorial Assistant will be responsible for organising, sourcing and uploading educational content to support The Future Game, the Licensed Coaches Club and to support the SGP Academy scheme. Generation of content will also be required. Coaching content will need to be accessible and relevant to coaches in the Grassroots and Professional games.
