Operations Director Chemonics International Washington, D.C
Chemonics seeks a director of operations for its Human Resources Division (HRD) to work closely with the senior vice president in overseeing the strategic and operational needs of the division.We are looking for an individual who has a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Responsibilities include:
* Monitor the overall quality of the human resources support services
* Coordinate special projects and initiatives
* Support overall human resources operations
* Serve as a liaison between HRD and key internal and external stakeholders
* Develop and maintain human resources procedures and support systems
* Generate and monitor the annual budget, work plans, and reports
* Support all HRD communications
Qualifications:
* Minimum six years of project and staff management experience
* Understanding and fluency in financial, budgeting, and project management systems and procedures
* Ability to conceptualize, outline, perform, and direct the research and writing of technical documents (reports, proposals, and professional articles)
* Demonstrated knowledge of human resources management
* Demonstrated initiative, ethical conduct, sound judgment, and work under pressure making decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures
* Ability to multi-task, manage details, follow through, and successfully complete tasks in a timely manner
* Ability to lead effective meetings, facilitate training sessions, and conduct presentations to multi-level audiences
* Ability to solve complex technical, managerial, or operational problems and evaluate options based on relevant information, resources, well-rounded experience, and knowledge
* Demonstrated leadership, management, organizational, and decision-making skills
* Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise staff or several project teams and new business efforts
* Ability to travel and work abroad approximately three months per year; willingness to consider long-term overseas assignments
* Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
* Ability to manage and monitor complex data including a variety of reports
* Fluency in written and spoken English required
* Permanent U.S. employment authorization required
