Regional Learning & Development Officer British Embassy Brussels
This position is a full time fixed term contract as a Regional Learning & Development Officer (RLDO). The RLDO will be responsible for partnering with Embassies to meet L&D needs for all staff, based in Western and Northern Europe and the Baltic States. The role requires extensive travel to support learning by delivering soft skills and management training for all levels of staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help Embassies identify L&D needs through strong account management;
- Support in designing programmes to meet needs using a variety of methods and resources;
- Deliver on soft skills and management development programmes throughout the region; this will involve travel up to 60% of the time;
- Conduct overall learning needs analysis to ensure learning and development needs are met;
- Contribute to the design and development of training curriculum;
- Evaluate course feedback to determine effectiveness of training sessions with regard to course content and training delivery;
- Keep up to date on trends, ideas and innovations to continually assess and improve training methods and materials;
- Conduct Investors in People (IIP) health checks and internal reviews to support best management practice;
- Consistently model best practice in all aspects of work.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
- At least three years training delivery experience. Ideally in management development, soft skills and/or coaching within a corporate environment. Other sectors like education, vocational skills, or others will be considered;
- Knowledge of learning and development processes including learning needs assessment, learning evaluation and delivery methods;
- Ability to deliver effective learning through a variety of communication channels i.e. face to face and virtual;
- Outstanding verbal, presentation and written skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills for influencing at all levels within the organisation;
- Self-motivated, independent and effective team player;
- Ability to lead by example and foster mentoring relationships;
- Excellent computer skills; specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Desirable Skills
- Any knowledge of European languages would be a plus, specifically Dutch and French;
- Recognised coaching qualification.
Gross monthly salary: €2736.57
