Senior Relationship Manager - Development & Institutional Banking
Our client is a Banking Institution in Uganda and is seeking to recruit result driven and motivated individuals for the vacancies below;
Job Objective:
Reporting to the Head of Relationship Management, the role of a Senior Relationship Manager is to develop new client relationships as well as pro-actively manage existing customers by prudently developing, growing and retaining profitable revenue generating assets and managing a portfolio of relationships to achieve corporate objectives.
Key Deliverables:
- Delivery of Development Institutional Banking Budget in respect of their teams.
- Minimise Bad debts/NPA within set parameters.
Duties and Responsibilities:
(a) Relationship Management:
- Support the Head of Relationship Management in meeting their financial targets.
- Drive customer satisfaction and retention.
- Review and supervise all applications to ensure they are in line with Development Institutional Banking policy/guidelines before submission to Credit
- Develop and maintain a dynamic working relationship with customers through customer visits, calls, developing appropriate solutions to their financial needs.
(b) Portfolio Growth:
- Grow the existing portfolio through cross selling, deep selling a range of products as well as supporting the origination of core banking products such as lending, current account, deposit, and money transmissions.
- Prepare additional funding requests to existing customers
(c) Portfolio Quality:
- Portfolio review and follow up of set sanctioning conditions.
- Maintaining customer files and ensuring that they are compliant.
- Help support the Business Analysts in preparing credit applications approval.
- Work with the Business Analysts to prepare for and undertake annual customer reviews.
- Build close working relationship with credit and legal departments.
- Organize regular meetings with Relationship Managers to discuss challenges and threats met in the day-to-day running of business.
- Timely monitoring and reporting on portfolio performance.
- Lead a team of Relationship Managers, supervise, manage and coach them.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Finance and Accounting) or equivalent. Professional banking qualification will be an added advantage.
- At least three years’ experience in customer relationship management.
- High proficiency in the use of Excel, PowerPoint, work and the internet.
