Position- Assistant Manager- GFC

Group Description:

This position is a part of DTT Global Finance which deals with the financial reporting, analysis, planning, forecasting, expenses/costs detail support, transactions and related areas in support of business unit(s) within the DTT organization. The Asst. Manager will directly support, and report to, the Senior Manager for Strategic Projects and Reporting, located in the US. The individual will perform detailed financial analysis and report creation, project management, and have responsibility for the Senior Analysts and Analysts in the team. The role includes creation of deliverables for executive leadership, so the successful candidate must be highly organized with a keen eye for detail, and be able to quickly respond to leadership ad hoc requests.

Job Responsibilities:

· Financial Reporting and Analysis

o Analyzes, and manages team in analysis of, member firm financial data, including the Financial Conditions analysis (Fin Con), external revenue reporting, and other regular and ad hoc reporting

o Manages creation of executive-level reports in PPT and Excel, typically for DTTL and member firm finance leadership

o Manages design and build of complex financial models, when required

o Develops expertise using DTTL reporting tools and systems, such as SAP BW

· Project management

o Manages typically high-profile projects in support of financial and operational performance improvement and initiatives as defined by DTTL Finance leadership

o Identifies detailed actions required to mitigate risks and successfully deliver a project

o Assists in development of persuasive management presentations and other support materials (such as project plans, tracking documents, meeting notes, and status reports) to drive the implementation of projects

o Employs a forward looking approach focusing on potential opportunities for improvement, leading directly to actions resulting in better financial and operational metrics

o Able to work with contacts across the firm to resolve tough, complex issues

o Ensures open communications and quick and accurate responses to leadership requests as needed.

· Team Management

o Leads R10 team (direct reports are Senior Analyst and Analysts, although team size may vary as team develops further) that supports the Senior Manager of the Group.

o Regularly assesses and recommends to Senior Manager actions to ensure the continuous improvement of team processes, skillsets, financial systems knowledge, general financial knowledge, and quality of output are highest possible; and to mitigate any related risks

o Delegates analyses and data requests as needed to R10 team and manages these to completion

Has primary responsibility for HR matters related to R10 direct reports, including regular feedback/coaching and management of the R10 HR process (eg, mid-year and year-end reviews).
  • Background

o 7+ years in an accounting, corporate finance, operations or consulting role, preferably in a global organization

o Undergraduate degree with rigorous analytical and quantitative focus; Masters Degree in a business field preferred

o Must have experience managing teams

· Skills

o Proficient in Excel for financial analytics and data modeling; PowerPoint for creation of executive-level presentations; and familiar with Access. Can effectively use other commonly-used software, such as Word and Outlook, in completion of work.

o Proficient, or able to become proficient quickly, with DTTL financial systems (SAP ECC, BW, other as needed).

o Clear, concise verbal and written communication. Must be able to effectively communicate with member firm financial contacts, DTTL Finance team members, internal clients, and all levels of management of the Firm.

o Understands financial accounting (income statements, balance sheets, cash flows) and financial and operational metrics/KPIs (key performance indicators) used by professional services firms.

· Characteristics

o The ideal candidate must possess a flexible work style and be able to work beyond the normal schedule during peak periods in order to meet deadlines.

o Able to develop network within DTTL Finance to aid in the team's understanding of financial data

o Should be able to work effectively, with minimal day-to-day supervision, and within a team environment to significantly contribute to the success of the team.

o Must possess a client-service mindset and a desire to take on tough and challenging projects. Will proactively investigate and mitigate risks, coordinating with team members and others to resolve issues and escalate issues as necessary.

o Outstanding research, analytical, and quantitative aptitude, as well as advanced attention to detail, are required for success in this role.
