Blended Learning Strategist University of Western Sydney

The University is currently in the process of developing a senior position, Blended Learning Strategist. Working closely with the PVC Education portfolio and the Director, Information Technology Services, the Blended Learning Strategist will contribute to the development and implementation of the UWS Blended Learning Strategy, focussing on technology enhanced learning and teaching.

Candidates for this role will be senior professionals who have demonstrated experience in the innovative use of blended and mobile learning approaches to enhance student engagement and outcomes in higher education settings.

They will have expertise in:

  • the use of new technologies of all kinds to enhance student engagement and learning
  • national and international developments in the use of new and emerging technologies in higher education
  • the systemic integration of ICTs into the curriculum across discipline areas, with a particular focus on building the capacity of academic staff to engage with blended and mobile learning.

The Blended Learning Strategist will provide leadership and senior-level advice in the development of strategies for applying new and emerging technologies and educational innovations to support the full spectrum of UWS blended learning initiatives and program design, from on-campus to mixed mode and fully online delivery.

Experience in evidence-based approaches to using ICTs to develop and review new and existing learning designs, educational techniques and assessment will be valuable; advising on the appropriate mix of ICTs in unit and course design to enhance flexibility.
