Chief executive, Christian Aid Ireland
Poverty is an outrage against humanity. It robs people of dignity, freedom and hope, of power over their own lives.
Christian Aid Ireland is a Christian organisation working to overcome poverty in some of the world’s poorest communities in around 45 countries. Regardless of race or religion, we help people to tackle the problems they face and build the life they deserve. At home and overseas we also campaign to change the structures that keep people poor, challenging inequality and injustice.
Christian Aid Ireland is seeking to recruit a Chief Executive to lead its work throughout the whole of Ireland, along with the Boards of Directors. The successful candidate will have considerable experience of leadership at senior management level and of communication to a wide range of audiences. The post holder will have a deep understanding of our member churches and their structures, as well as a good understanding of the theological underpinning of Christian Aid’s work and international development issues.
