US Fundraising officer

At Christian Aid we have a vision of a better world, free from poverty, and we are investing in fundraising with a long-term strategy that will enable us to have an even greater impact. If you share our vision and you are an exceptional fundraiser who can deliver significant income including from Trusts and Foundations, this could be the job for you.

This role will build on the initial success of grants that have been received from the US to develop greater funding from these sources and support the ongoing work with wealth and philanthropy advisors in the UK.

Working with the other philanthropy teams at Christian Aid to exploit existing links in the US, you will identify prospects, prepare proposals and reports, meet with prospects and donors (this will involve travelling to the US) and develop successful relationships to secure income.

With a solid track record of successful high value fundraising, you will be well practised in managing relationships, making persuasive applications and inspiring face-to-face presentations to secure financial support, networking and influencing. You will be able to produce sophisticated and targeted proposals and reports on Christian Aid’s work.

More than half the world lives in poverty. We aim to put a stop to that. So we campaign against the inequalities that keep people poor and we work with local organisations to give people strength to find their own solutions to the problems they face, irrespective of their religion. If you’re as determined as we are to end poverty and injustice across the world, work with us to make change happen.

Please show your suitability for this post by giving answers to the following questions: Using the guidance notes may help you formulae your answers.
