Professor/Reader in Peace and Conflict Studies - Durham University

Durham University already has substantial expertise in International Relations, Political Geography, Area-Based Studies, Law and Social Anthropology related to conflict, security, boundaries and borders. We are seeking to deepen that expertise and extend its reach through inter-disciplinary and regional and global perspectives. Appointees could be in any one of the Departments/Schools of Government & International Affairs, Geography, Law, Anthropology, Applied Social Studies or Archaeology, as appropriate.

In an integrated approach to this collective of academic centres, Durham is developing as a global hub in the expanding sphere of conflict study and global policy, which is at the heart of Research Councils UK’s ‘Global Uncertainties’ strategic research theme.
