Please be aware that your home Administration/Agency/Service/Government will be responsible for all of your salary/remuneration, social insurance, pension contributions, welfare benefits, family allowances, benefits during your assignment at INTERPOL as well as travel, removal expenses related to your arrival at and departure from INTERPOL and any other related costs depending on your circumstances. INTERPOL is the world’s largest international police organization, with 190 Member States. Created in 1923, it facilitates cross-border police co-operation, and supports and assists all organizations, authorities, and services whose mission is to prevent or combat international crime. INTERPOL is now looking for two qualified candidates to serve as INTERPOL Global Learning Centre (IGLC) Administrators within the Capacity Building, Training Research and Accreditation Sub-Directorate* in the Executive Directorate for INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation.
Reporting to the Head of Branch (IGLC), the Administrator IGLC acts as his/her main support by providing training/presentations and project management in order to assist in the coordination and management of IGLC project activities and update IGLC websites.
The INTERPOL Global Learning Centre is an electronic web-based platform allowing a wide distribution of police services, knowledge, best practices, training and e-learning, aimed at facilitating new training opportunities for member countries, as well as developing a culture of learning and exchange of expertise between law enforcement communities around the world.
Primary Duties
1. Assist in the coordination and management of all aspects of the IGLC project, including Planning, Policy developments, Communications, Training and IGLC updates.
2. Perform regular reviews and updates of the IGLC websites’ content in three official languages of the organization. 3. Assist the E-learning Coordinator in all I-Le@rn (LMS)/IGLC administrator’s tasks to support staff, Regional Bureaus and NCB related account creations and managements. 4. Develop and deliver IGLC-related training programs or communications tools. 5. Perform any other duties to ensure the smooth support and running of the IGLC Project. Requirements
All candidates will be assessed on the under mentioned requirements.
Education
• University degree in business administration, computer science, or related discipline.
Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of proven track record experience in training and development related project management;
• Knowledge of training and e-learning trends and experience in running training-based project; • Experience in e-learning and web-content management is required;
Languages
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills are mandatory.
Technical Competencies
• Solid presentation, communication and facilitation skills, both written and oral.
• Results driven and achievement-oriented with a “can-do” attitude, multi-tasking, work well under pressure. • Demonstrated tact and diplomacy, to develop and maintain good working relationships with all parties within INTERPOL as well as outside
In addition to the requirements, the following Assets and Special Aptitudes would be beneficial.
• A working knowledge of French and Spanish would be a very strong an additional asset;
• Experience working in an international environment would be highly desirable; either from employment in an international organization or from participating in e.g. international working groups, joint international projects etc. Working Conditions
• This post is to be filled on the basis of a secondment.
• Remuneration: INTERPOL does not pay salary to seconded officials. Depending on the nationality of the official, an expatriation allowance may be paid for a maximum period of six years. • This post requires occasional travel on missions, sometimes of a long duration and at short notice.
• The incumbent will be occasionally required to work irregular hours or overtime based upon workload.
*The Organization reserves the right to modify the Directorate and/or Sub-Directorate’s name and internal structure. This may have an impact on the functional title and reporting lines of this position.
