INTERPOL is now looking for two qualified candidate to serve as Police Training Officers within the Integrity in Sport Sub-Directorate* in the Executive Directorate for INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation.
Job Title:  Police Training Officer (two Posts)
Reporting To:   Assistant Director, Integrity in Sport
Location: IGCI, Singapore**
Duration:Three-year secondment
Grade: Grade 5
Security Clearance Level:Basic

The Integrity in Sport (IST) Police Training officer reports directly to the Assistant Director IST. The post holder directly assists the Assistant Director IST in the planning and design, management and implementation of the project. She/he directly tracks, monitors, coordinates, supports and reports to the Assistant Director IST on the project milestones and targets as well as the project schedule. This includes identifying risks of delays to project schedule and dependencies as well as on any other organizational matters, as required by the Assistant Director IST.

Primary Duties
1. Appreciate and understand the project needs and requirements to assist to refine the design continuously;
2. Assist in planning and design of the work plans for the project and corresponding time and resources required;
3. Assist in planning and design to effectively manage risks throughout the project schedule;
4. Assist in coordinating internal and external meetings including proposing the agenda, preparing meeting documentation and materials, ensuring participation and effective and timely follow-ups;
5. Coordinate and manage a wide spectrum of organizational, secretariat and administrative activities to accomplish project requirements in accordance to the project schedule;
6. Draft reports and documents by researching, analysing and making recommendations;
7. Establish a system to keep track of all on-going activities;
8. Ensure that project work plans and targets are communicated effectively and efficiently ;
9. Consolidate and prepare regular progress reports for review and submission as necessary to the Assistant Director IST;
10. Design and coordinate operationally oriented training  programmes or other training resources;
11. Build up, promote and conduct training courses in collaboration with relevant internal and external partners and Specialized Police Officers. Evaluate the effectiveness of those training courses;
12. Coordinate, develop and organize the curriculum for the assigned training programme and prepare the validation process accordingly;
13. Monitor, conceptualize, plan and coordinate the training activities of the assigned training project in alignment with the global strategy of the Organization and operational strategy of the Integrity in Sport Sub-Directorate;
14. Track and recommend opportunities for the infusion of relevant subject matter within the framework of the training project. Analyse and propose evolutions to the training policies and processes;
15. Carry out all other duties as may be required by the hierarchy.

Requirements
All candidates will be assessed on the under mentioned requirements.
Education
• Post graduate University degree (preferably in management, adult learning or police administration).
Experience
• At least 2 years professional experience in undertaking training needs analysis, curriculum design, delivery of training programmes and post training evaluations, ideally in the police community;
• Professional experience in an international environment.
Languages
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
Technical Competencies
• Very good knowledge of the police work;
• Good knowledge of the latest developments in Integrity in sport;
• Interest in adapting and applying new training concepts so as to meet organizational needs and ensure continuous improvements;
• Ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative working relations with clients, peers and senior management in a multicultural context.
In addition to the requirements, the following Assets and Special Aptitudes would be beneficial.
• Experience in providing groups with training and management skills development would be considered an asset.

Working Conditions
• This post is to be filled on the basis of a secondment.
• Remuneration: INTERPOL does not pay salary to seconded officials. Depending on the nationality of the official, an expatriation allowance may be paid for a maximum period of six years. • This post requires occasional travel on missions, sometimes of a long duration and at short notice.
• The incumbent will be occasionally required to work irregular hours or overtime based upon workload.

*The Organization reserves the right to modify the Directorate and/or Sub-Directorate’s name and internal structure. This may have an impact on the functional title and reporting lines of this position.
