The Office of the Chief Operating Officer is currently undergoing a sustained process of renewal. As part of the renewal program an organisational wide framework has been developed for managing strategic and operational risks. This is a newly established position reporting to the COO and working closely with the University's General Counsel and Chief Financial Officer.
The Role
As the Risk and Compliance Manager you will be accountable for maintaining and monitoring the risk registers for the University and its faculties/ offices; establishing and maintaining the University's legal compliance framework; and developing relationships with key stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this position you will have a degree qualification in a relevant discipline with substantial experience in an audit and/or risk management role. You will possess an understanding of and have had exposure to legal compliance frameworks. Additionally you will have exceptional skills in building and maintaining constructive collaborations with senior stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation.

· Exceptional skills in planning and executing on key risk and/or compliance priorities
· Demonstrated skill and experience in the identification and mitigation of risks
· Extensive skill and experience in relationship management with senior stakeholders
· Demonstrated accountability in making informed decisions and delivering on key organisational objectives

Salary Package: from $104,598 - $123,090 p.a. (Level 10), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading
