Senior Financial Analyst Levi Strauss & Co


The position:
As part of the Finance Supply Chain team, you will support the financial planning, forecasting and reporting component for Distribution and Logistics finance / operational processes within the European and Asian network in support of a cost effective, customer service focused organization. More specifically, you will:
  • Ensure fiscal integrity and responsibilities are in place in Logistics financial processes so that the financial/operational decisions take into consideration the full financial impact of the trade-offs being considered;
  • performance;
  • Conduct insightful analysis to help the Distribution & Logistics Global Supply Chain department evaluate the impact of new and ongoing operational and/or financial initiatives in order to meet and exceed its short-term and long-term objectives. You will challenge potential risks and opportunities, recommend actions and follow up on implementation of actions;
  • Ensure effective internal controls are maintained in line with the SOX/GAAP requirements to protect company assets in the Distribution and Trade payables (contracts) area. You will escalate potential issues when needed, recommend actionable suggestions and follow up on implementations of these suggestions;
  • You will contribute to the continuous improvement in processes, systems, and efficiency;
Key relationships: Sr. Manager, Controller, Distribution Finance & Planning / VP Distribution Finance & Procurement/ VP Distribution & Logistics / Director of Distribution & Logistics – Europe / Distribution Facility Directors, Brand Finance Leaders / peers/managers in Distribution & Logistics / Transport and Logistic accountant.
Travel Percentage: 10-20%
Qualifications & Experience:
  • You have a university degree in Business Administration, Applied Economics or equivalent (required);
  • You have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a Financial Planning and Analysis preferably in a distribution setting in an international and dynamic environment;
  • You have strong problem solving and analytical skills resulting in the ability to identify root causes, trends or variances and the ability to propose solutions;
  • You are able to work independently and as part of a multinational team;
  • You have experience in working with logistics and supply chain operations;
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to articulate financial results and issues to non-financial audiences;
  • You are a strong team player with a high degree of demonstrated collaboration with peers and clients;
  • You are able to build solid relationships and influence others in a productive manner to improve business results and processes;
  • You are stress resistant and able to work under tight deadlines;
  • You have strong SAP and MS Office skills (knowledge of Essbase, Hyperion HFM and Business Objects is a strong plus) and you are able to adapt to new systems and applications quickly;
